Is The Sun Moving Or Is The Earth Moving?
Whilst sat talking with a friend just now, having eaten a couple of scones with jam, I started to think about the shadow on my plate from the sun shining down upon my mug.

I then started to think about how shadows from the sun move throughout the day, as the sun moves across the sky above us.

I then started to think about the explanation of the sun moving across the sky that I was told and taught, from when I was a little boy at primary school.
I then started to think about the explanation that God gives everyone in the Holy Bible.
The 2 explanations completely contradict each other, so either man is lying or God is lying.
Who do you believe? Man or God?
Man Says The Earth Moves:
God Says The Sun Moves:
On the day the Lord gave the Israelites victory over the Amorites, Joshua prayed to the Lord in front of all the people of Israel. He said, “Let the sun stand still over Gibeon, and the moon over the valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still and the moon stayed in place until the nation of Israel had defeated its enemies. Is this event not recorded in The Book of Jashar? The sun stayed in the middle of the sky, and it did not set as on a normal day. There has never been a day like this one before or since, when the Lord answered such a prayer. Surely the Lord fought for Israel that day!”
Joshua 10:12-14 NLT
“The sun rises and the sun sets, then hurries around to rise again.”
Ecclesiastes 1:5 NLT
“The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.”
Psalms 19:6 NLT
“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”
Numbers 23:19 NLT
“Of course not! Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about him, “You will be proved right in what you say, and you will win your case in court.””
Romans 3:4 NLT
“Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.”
Colossians 2:8 NLT
